993,279. Two-part couplings. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. July 15, 1963 [Aug. 2, 1962], No. 29771/62. Heading H2E. A two-part connector, used particularly for making connections between the conductors of a telephone instrument and those of a line cord, comprises two similar L-shaped insulating blocks 1, carrying strip contacts 3 which are located in grooves 7 and held in position by wiring screws 12 passing through bores 13 in one arm of the block and into tapped contact holes 14. The blocks 1 may be damped together and aligned by screws passing through spaced pairs of holes 18, which may also be used for fixing a block to apparatus such as an instrument casing. Raised contact - making portions 11 are provided on strips 3.
