Abstract

990,565. Window regulators. FORDWERKE A.G. Nov. 30, 1962 [Dec. 5, 1961], No. 45408/62. Heading E2M A vehicle window is raised and lowered by a pivotally mounted arm 1<SP>1</SP> formed or provided at its free end with a curved portion 31 which is articulated to the window by means of at least one member 6<SP>1</SP> carried by the window, the member 6<SP>1</SP> constituting a fixed point of articulation with respect to the window and a movable point of articulation with respect to the arm so that the operative length of the arm is variable. The member 6<SP>1</SP> is a bolt mounted on the path of the centre of gravity of the window and slideably received in a guide slot 7<SP>1</SP> in the curved portion 3<SP>1</SP> of the arm. The bolt may carry a roller 15 of synthetic plastic, and the slot may have a lining 14 of the same material. In an alternative embodiment the curved end of the arm is received between two rollers mounted on the window.
