A stackable container for transparency magazines 2 has grooves and protuberances formed on its top and bottom walls which interfit with a corresponding configuration on the adjacent wall of a container immediately above or below it detachably to secure it therto, whereby a magazine 2 may be withdrawn through the front of the container without interfering with adjacent containers. The container has means to automatically eject a magazine partially from the container when its front wall is moved away from its top and side walls. As shown in Fig. 1 a container 1 has a ramp 9 at the rear of its base so that the stored magazines 2, the rear ends of which mount the ramp 9, will be automatically partially ejected when the hinged door 3 is opened. The door 3 may have lugs 14, Fig. 6, which engage ridges in the base of the magazines and thus pull the front of the magazines 2 from the container 1. Another container, Fig. 9, has its front wall 24 hinged to an extensible base 22 which carries the magazines 2 and which has tongues 23 co-operating with grooves 21 in the walls 19, 20 of the container. A stop 25 prevents the base from being inadvertently completely withdrawn. Alternatively, Fig. 10, the front wall 31 is hinged to two extensible rails 32, 33 which carry the magazines 2 and which slide in grooves 35 in the base of the container. The rails 32, 33 are guided by overlapping cams 36 which also co-operate with a bar 37 to prevent inadvertent withdrawal.
