Abstract

989,346. Fuel tank arrangement. MASSEYFERGUSON Inc. Aug. 10, 1961 [Aug. 24, 1960], No. 28908/61. Heading F1B. [Also in Division B7] The fuel tank 40 of a tractor, made in two halves connected by the flange 43, is mounted upon brackets 51 and 52 in a tubular housing 30 located above the engine 20 and extending rearwardly from the radiator 21 in front of which is disposed a screen 32, the floor 47 of the tubular member extending rearwardly from the top of the radiator 21 so that air is aspirated round the fuel tank and through the radiator grill by the engine cooling fan. At the rear end, a baffle 55 directs the inflowing air downwardly to ensure complete circulation round the tank.
