985,003. Switchgear structures. ETABLISSEMENTS MERLIN & GERIN S.A. June 12, 1963 [June 16, 1962], No. 23349/63. Heading H2B. may form part of a ring circuit, while the centre unit II is connected with a further cable 41 through the fuses 38. In a polyphase switchgear station including fuses 38 and consisting of a number of metalclad units I, II, III containing switches 17, the fuses 38 are arranged in fan formation in an airinsulated compartment whose greatest width exceeds that of the associated switch compartment 18 and overlaps adjacent units. Each unit has a three-phase switch 17 consisting of three blades 20 pivoted on insulated bushings 19 and movable by a mechanism 31-33 to engage either fixed contacts 26 associated with bus-bars 28 or earthing contacts 27.
