979,235. High-tension switches. LICENTIA PATENT -VERWALTUNGS-G.m.b.H. Jan. 26, 1962 [Jan. 26, 1961], No. 3013/62. Heading H2B. Multi-break circuit-breakers of the type in which series connected moving contacts extend in free air to engage fixed contacts and are retracted on operation, the fixed contacts 7 of the interrupters at both ends of each series are mounted on separate structures, such as walls 8, so that the breaker may be moved to alternative positions (shown in dash lines in Fig. 2). As shown a three-phase circuit-breaker with four interrupter heads per phase has insulators 6 containing potential controlling impedances and carrying contacts 11 which engage fixed contacts 10 at different heights above the contacts 7.
