Abstract

1,202,175. High-voltage switches. BROWN, BOVERI & CO. Ltd. 27 March, 1969 [29 March, 1968], No. 16018/69. Heading H1N. A gas-blast circuit-breaker of the kind having a pressure vessel 1 enclosing circuit-interrupting equipment has an isolating switch of the pantograph type mounted on the vessel and connected to the equipment by a conductor extending through a bushing insulator. As shown, both bushing insulators 2, 3 support isolating switches 4, 5 which are operated by rotary insulating members 8, 9. Earthing switches 10, 11 and current transformers 12, 13 are provided and reference is made to the provision of voltage transformers and interlocking devices. Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown) illustrate arrangements for maintaining the bushings 2, 3 under compression.
