A clip for securing a ceiling board P to an inverted T-sectioned beam S is formed from a strip of sheet metal bent to U-shape to embrace a flange F<SP>1</SP> of the beam with offset edges 8 of its lower limb 2 adapted to interlock with an undercut groove 10 in the board P and its upper limb 1 bowed inwardly. Lugs 5, 5<SP>1</SP>, Figs. 1, 4, integral with limb 1 press down on the upper face of the board P and a central part 16 between slits 12 presses resiliently down on the flange F<SP>1</SP>. In another embodiment, the clip is cut as shown in Fig. 7 and claws are formed in the upper limb by bending out the metal near undercuts 21, the claws preventing the clip disengaging the board before it is ready to engage the flange. The part of the lower limb between slits 24 projects as a loop and acts as a levelling device to keep the ceiling plane consistent.
