[Also in Division G1] A stand 22 (Fig. 1) which can straddle a vehicle serves to lift a silo 10 from the vehicle. In the form shown the feet 27 at one end of the stand 22 are secured to a pair of rails 24 while the feet 28 at the other end can be drawn along the rails, on rollers 29, by a winch 32. When the silo has been raised in this way from a stand 48 (Fig. 4) on the vehicle extensions of the rails 24 can be bolted at 42 (Fig. 1) to the stand 22 to brace it. The stand 22 supports a cradle 20 on the silo through stub shafts 21 which may be carried either by the stand or by the cradle, and which take into slots on the cradle or stand. Pins 40 can secure parts 36 of the cradle to a cross member 37 on the stand to prevent pivoting about the shafts 21. A feed weigher 15 measures material delivered from the silo, and hydraulic or mechanical weighing cells may be provided in the feet 27, 28. The stand 22 may be collapsed so that the two legs lie alongside the rails 24, or alternatively the legs may be separable. The winch 32 may be replaced by pinions on the feet 28 engaging racks on the wheels 24. The stand may be replaced by a lazy-tongs linkage. Specifications 979,587 and 979,588 are referred to.
