A truck for moving heavy loads comprises two end-frames 2 provided with jacking abutments 19 for lifting the base 1 of the load, and two side frames 3 supported on wheels 4, the end frames 2 being releasably secured to the side frames by means of detachable slotted plates 28 engaging behind pins 26 fixed into projections 25 on the end frames 2. One front pair of wheels 4 may be driven by a detachable air motor 5.
