Abstract

979,347. Furniture combinations. G. SOUTAR. Dec. 10, 1963, No. 48701/63. Heading A4H. [Also in Division A6] A combined step ladder and stool comprises a top step or seat 1 mounted on a tubular framework 1a and having two lower steps 2, 3 pivotally mounted about a lower transverse member 4 of the framework, the rear legs 5 of the framework being hollow and forming the outer section of a telescopic hand rail member 7. A locating pin 8 is spring mounted on one of the legs 5 and projects through a hole in the leg to selectively engage a hole in the vertical pillar 6 of handrail 7.
