[Also in Division G2] Apparatus for feeding web or sheet material, e.g. paper or film, comprises at least one pair of driven rollers between which the material is fed, the surfaces of the rollers being elastically deformable locally by guide members in the form of wires, threads, strips, such that the undeformed parts extend radially outwards of the members. The guide members prevent the material winding on the rollers and guide it to successive pairs of rollers. The guide members may be threads of synthetic material, e.g. nylon or of metal, while the rollers may have surfaces of foamed polymeric material and rubber.
