[Also in Divisions G2 and H4] A connector for two parts of a tube carrying sound from a sound reproducer at 10 to an earpiece (Figs. 1 and 5, not shown) comprises a tube 20 adapted to be pushed into a tube 28, the tubes 20 and 28 being provided with separate or integral coupling members which snap into engagement when one tube is pushed into the other. The Specification describes the assembly of the sound-reproducer of an earlevel hearing-aid housed in the tail 10 which is attached to the end of one arm 15 of a pair of spectacles which carries an earpiece attached to a downward branch (Fig. 2) from the tube 28. The microphone-tail 10 may be attached to either arm of the spectacles, the other arm carrying an ordinary tail on a similar attachment. Alternatively the microphone-tail 10 can be attached by a tube connector directly to an earpiece 43 as ain Fig. 5. The tube 20 is of metal. It has a chamfer 23, a flattened bottom 24 and a groove 21 around its inner end. The tube 28 is of nylon reinforced with metal at 29. It has a recess with a bevelled front edge 27 and flat bottom 26 and a projection 25 extending circumferentially about 280 degrees to engage in the groove 21. The joint is sound-proof to prevent feed-back to the microphone.
