Abstract

A quicklime composition comprises a solid dispersion of finely-divided quicklime in a wax having a melting point of 40 DEG C. or in a mixture of such a wax and an oil. Proportions may be 0.05-10 parts of quicklime to 1 part of dispersing medium. Up to 99% of the dispersing medium may be a mineral or fatty oil. Specification 890,262 is referred to.ALSO:A composition comprises a solid dispersion of finely divided quicklime in a wax having a melting point of at least 40 DEG C. or in a mixture of such a wax with an oil. Proportions may be 0.05-10 parts of quicklime to 1 part of dispersing medium. Up to 99% of the dispersing medium may be a mineral or fatty oil. Waxes specified are carnauba wax, paraffin wax and microcrystalline wax. Specification 890,262 is referred to.
