Abstract

A polishing composition for furniture or automobiles comprises 10 to 16 parts of oxidized microcrystalline, Fischer-Tropsch and/or montan wax, 4 to 8 parts of solid polyethylene, 1 to 11 parts of paraffin wax and a solvent, all parts being based on the weight of the composition which has a total solids content of 20 to 30%. In an example the solvent used is mineral spirits and brown and black dyes are also present.
