A pipe coupling member comprises a pipe 1 of malleable cast iron curved so that the axes of the ends thereof make an angle with each other, an integral socket 2 formed at one end of the pipe having an internally flared mouth 5 adapted to accommodate a deformable sealing ring and a portion 7 of the other end of the pipe being formed of greater wall thickness than but of the same internal diameter as the remainder of the pipe. An annular rib 4 is formed within the socket to define a short cylindrical passage 3 coaxial with and contiguous to the flared mouth of the socket and has a diameter slightly greater than that of the exterior portion 7, the diameter of the internal surface of the remainder of the socket being greater than that of the passage 3; a screw-thread 6 is formed on the exterior of the socket for engagement by a coupling nut.
