972,705. Spray-producers. EVERS & WA LL Ltd. Nov. 24, 1960 [July 7, 1960], No. 23812/60. Heading B2F. Spray liquid 9 is forced from its container 8 to a spray boom 12 by the pressure of exhaust gases in an exhaust pipe 1 of an I.C. engine. A fitting 2 with a reduced outlet 3 is attached to the exhaust end of the pipe, and exhaust pressure is applied to the container via a tube 6 and connectors 5 and 7. Liquid flows to the boom through tubes 10 and 11, and via valves 14, 15. A pressure release valve 17 is located in the exhaust pipe. In Fig. 2 the exhaust gases are used to create an ejector action and to atomize the liquid forced from a container 31 and fed through pipes 33, 29 and 26 to a spray nozzle 25 Exhaust gas pressure is fed to the container by a tube 35 interconnecting the container and a tube 24 attached to the end of the exhaust tube 1. The exhaust gases flow from the nozzle and atomize the liquid leaving the tube 26. Control and safety valves are provided.
