Abstract

972,025. Electromagnetic relays; switch contacts. ASSOCIATED ELECTRICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. June 7, 1963 [June 15, 1962], No. 23166/62. Heading H2B. The bias of a loading spring 16 acting on the actuating comb 15 of a contact springset of e.g. a Post Office relay, is adjustable by means of a lever 17, one end 17b of which carries an adjusting screw 22 which co-operates with an abutment surface and the other end 17a of which bears against the spring. The lever is pivoted on a curved member 21 mounted on a stud 20 screwed into an insulating plate 11 of the contact pile up. The fixed end 16a of the spring 16 co-operates with the knurled head 25 of screw 22 to locate it in set positions. The springset comprises two moving contacts 8, 9 which are electrically connected by a spacer 13 to provide a make-before-break change-over contact set.
