Abstract

971,446. Spin driers. PRESSED STEEL CO. Ltd. May 1, 1963, No. 17213/63. Heading F4G. A spin drier motor 11, Fig. 2, is journalled in mounting brackets 12 secured at 13 to a fixed part 14 of the drier so as to pivot when spin drying occurs under torque reaction with respect to the brackets in an arc limited by movement of a peg 21 secured to the motor within a slot 22 in the bracket 12, so that a brake pad 17 on a pivoted arm 15 which in the inoperative position is urged by a spring 20 against a brake pulley 18 mounted on the motor shaft 19, is disengaged therefrom.
