Abstract

[Also in Division D1] The elastic centre of the support system for the frame carrying the rotatable part of a spin drying machine is located on the line of the bearings of rotatable part of the resiliently mounted frame part. As shown in Fig. 8, the drum 105 and the motor shaft 104 have a common centre line 106 and the motor and drum are mounted on a butyl rubber spring 117. Three springs 118-120 act in the horizontal direction and the points of attachment of these springs are adjustable to adjust the position of the elastic centre to locate it on the line of the said bearings.
