A gas burner for gas turbine engines comprises a tubular body 1 having a cap-shaped nozzle 7 having a central aperture from which a tubular spigot 8 extends inwardly to support the end of an electrically-operated igniter 5, the nozzle 7 having annularly-disposed outlets 9 formed therein. The igniter 5 extends through a closure member 3 and comprises a tubular electrode and a coaxial rod electrode spaced therefrom by insulating material. An annular semi-conductor is disposed between the electrodes at their inner ends.
