Aerosol valve-actuating means comprise a combined cap and actuator button assembly 14, 16 rotatably mounted on the valve-actuating stem 13 and having an abutment surface 23 engageable with a stepped collar 26, Fig. 4, having abutment surfaces 26a, 26b respectively permitting and preventing operation of the valve, and a stop portion 26c limiting rotation of the actuating assembly. Button 16, e.g., of plastics, is screwed within cap 14, e.g., of flexible metal, by axial ribs 20. Collar 36 is force-fitted over valve housing 12a or may be formed integrally with container 10. The positions of the stepped collar 26 and abutment 23 may be interchanged. A removable sealing member may be provided to prevent premature discharge.
