Abstract

1505530 Pressurized dispensing containers AEROSOL INVENTIONS & DEVELOPMENT S A 4 June 1975 [14 June 1974] 24033/75 Heading F1R A valve assembly for a pressurized dispensing container comprises a cap having a spout 3 comprising a discharge orifice 4 closed by a valvemember 5a which is axially moveable to open the orifice by external means acting through a deformable wall portion of the cap. As shown the deformable portion comprises domes 7a, 7b, the member 5a having a cross-bar 5b carrying portions 5c, 5d which enter the domes, 7a, 7b so that when external pressure is applied to the domes the member 5a is depressed. As shown the domes are depressible by means of a lever 6 integrally hinged to the cap. In a modification, Fig. 5 (not shown) an annular skirted button around the spout is axially moveable to depress the domes. In the embodiment shown the cap is a snap fit on the container. In the embodiment of Fig. 5 the valve is secured to a mounting cap.
