Abstract
967,732. Amplifier circuits. ELECTRIC & MUSICAL INDUSTRIES Ltd. Dec. 19, 1960 [Dec. 18, 1959], No. 43008/59. Headings H3T and H3W. An amplifier comprises two valves V1, V2, a source of input signal connected to the control electrodes, a source of electrical power effectively connected to ground, a load for the amplifier and an output transformer for coupling the load to the amplifier, the transformer having two substantially equivalent centre-tapped primary winding sections T21, T22, the outer sections of one section T21 being connected to the collector electrodes, the outer terminals of the other section T22 being connected to the emitter electrodes and the centre taps being connected to the power supply, the arrangement being such that the valves are connected in push-pull relationship with the load divided substantially equally among the emitter and collector circuits of the valves and wherein the emitter electrode of each valve is coupled to the collector of the other valve. The valves may be replaced by transistors.
