Abstract

960,523. Spray carburetters. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES. March 1, 1962 [May 9, 1961], No. 8055/62. Heading F1B. A downdraught carburetter has a throttle valve section 39 formed separately from the main body section 3 and secured by long studs or bolts 42 bearing on the manifold 41 and main body section 3. The throttle section 39 is provided with a cavity 44 through which a heating fluid such as air, exhaust gases, or hot water may be passed. The main part 3 includes the Venturi and float chamber and the axis x-x of the main fuel passage 11 is at the same inclination as the generator y-y of the Venturi throat. The main casing 3 may be of zinc and the throttle section 39 of stronger material such as cast iron, bronze or aluminium.
