Abstract

A nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy which retains its corrosion-resistance after welding contains in percentage by weight <TABS:0956166/C3/1> The alloy is prepared from silicon-free materials and is de-oxidized with a silicon-free metal selected from Ca, Mg, Ba, Sr. Silicon-free master alloys of these metals, preferably with nickel, or silicon-free titanium master alloy, may also be used. Post-weld annealing at 1120 DEG C., followed by air cooling, is referred to.
