953,218. Loom dobbies. SULZER FRERES S. A. Feb. 2,1961 [Feb.12, 1960],No.4037/61. Heading D1E. The invention concerns a loom dobbie which is situated at the side of the loom beneath the weaving plane and has linkage passing beneath it to actuate the heddles. In Fig. 1 the two parts of the dobbie are shown separated. In use followers 19 bear on cams 18, rod 78 connects to dashpot 79 and rod 85 connects to lever 84. Operation: A driven shaft 17 has the cams 18 which, via the followers 19, reciprocate vertically draw knives 25, 26 and has cams 21 which by way of followers 22 the rod 85 and the lever 84, reciprocate horizontally in opposite directions auxilliary knives 65,66. Pattern card mechanism 62 actuates hooks 64 into the path of the knives 65, 66 to rock a lever 68 (see Fig. 2), against dashpot 79, to bring hooks 33, 34 into the path of draw knives 25, 26. Vertical movement of the hooks 33, 34 rocks a cam 35 to move an adjustable throw jack lever 47,48 to actuate heddles via linkages 51, 52, 54, 57. Specification 953,219 is referred to.
