Abstract

951,619. Convection air-heating apparatus- H. KRANKENHAGEN. May 16, 1960, No. 17140/60. Heading F4S. In a convection air heater attached to the wall of a room, in which a finned heating pipe 2 is enclosed by a housing 1 having inlet and outlet openings for air, the housing is constructed to have a natural resilience in an upward direction such that downward pressure on the top face of the housing will disengage the lower edge 14 of the housing from a catch 13 enabling the housing to be removed for cleaning purposes. In another form described (Fig. 2, not shown), only the front-facing part of the housing is detachable. The heater shown is provided with a manually operated damper 4 pivoted in a bearing formed between a spring 6 and the hooked end 7<SP>1</SP> of a fixed support 7. The bearing provides sufficient friction to retain the damper in any desired position.
