950,488. Measuring of wearing-apparel. BELLE JARDINIERE. Dec. 29, 1960 [Jan. 8, 1960]. No. 44572/60. Addition to 872,121 Heading A3V. A tailor's measuring jacket 101 is formed without shoulder portions and is supported by a harness comprising a neck and shoulder band 111 of strong fabric or felt and flexible strips connecting the band 111 to the upper edges of the jacket. Flexible measuring strips 117 articulated to the band 111 are adjustably attached to the upper front edges 118 by sliding clamps 119; three measuring strips similarly connect the band to the upper rear edge of the jacket. The outer portions of the upper front edges 118 are connected to the band 111 by extensible strips 120 of rubber or rubber thread fabric, while measuring strips 121 attached to the band 111 hang freely over these edge portions. The jacket is adjustable in girth by means of fastener components 105a-c connecting the front portions together and side gussets 107 closable by sliding fasteners 110.
