944,998. Animal holding devices. W. T. HANDSLIP, and P. HANDSLIP, [trading as W. HANDSLIP & SONS]. June 28, 1962 [July 10, 1961], No. 24891/61. Heading A5R. An animal crate or pen has an open rear end, upper and lower halves 10, 17 of a neck yoke at the forward end, a head support 15 included in the lower part of the yoke and means 16 for securing an animal's head on the support. Upper and lower parts 17, 10 of the yoke are vertically adjustable relative to supporting posts 1 of the crate. A trough-shaped head support 15 extends from the lower yoke part 10, a strap 16 being provided to secure the animal's head on the support. The upper yoke part is carried by a vertical arm 18 adjustably secured to a crossbar 19 which may be raised and lowered to release or secure the yoke about the animal's neck. An adjustably positioned transverse bar 5 secures the animal in the crate at the rear. The crate has a steel mesh floor 4.
