1356514 Animal securing devices C WIEK 4 Aug 1972 [6 Aug 1971] 36503/72 Heading A5R Apparatus for supporting the leg of an animal during a veterinary operation or during shoeing comprises a telescopic post 1 and a securing device 8 which is adjustably mounted on the post and to which a ligature attached to the animal's leg is secured. The securing device 8 may comprise a double hook which engages in one of a number of bores in the post, or a sleeve which is slidable on the post and held in position by a clamping screw. A support bar 6 for the animal's foot may be provided. To aid stability the post may be provided with a base plate or with three or more feet which may be telescopic.
