958,549. Horse rollers. L. G. BACON. May 6, 1963 [Feb. 6, 1962], No. 4524/62. Heading A1M. A device for preventing an animal from rolling over comprises an elongate support 1 having a tubular frame 2 formed with a central recess 3 for the animal's back and carrying a plate 4 formed with a row of apertures 5 adapted to receive a metal rod 7 positioned so as to lie one on either side of the animal's back-bone. Each rod carries prongs 9 which dig into the animal's back or side should it attempt to roll on to its back. The ends of the prongs 9 may be padded. The frame is secured to the animal by means of a U-shaped bar 10 carrying cross-pieces 11 with studs 12 which engage in a clamping plate 13, a girth being received between the bar 10 and plate 13.
