Abstract

944,850. Agricultural implements. LEHMAN EQUIPMENT CO. March 10, 1961, No. 8848/61. Heading A1B. A cultivator comprises gangs 27 of rotary hoes mounted on a frame 20 to engage rows of plants and means for turning the ground on each side of the plant rows on to or away from the crops. As shown the hoes 27 are adjustable and are mounted on the front of the frame and the ground turning means comprises teeth 40 which turns the soil on to the crops. Sweeps 41 are provided for breaking up the ground. In a modification the teeth and sweeps 41 are replaced by separate gangs of rotary hoes mounted on the rear of the frames.
