Abstract

769,233. Agricultural implements. THOMAS, G. A. Jan. 28, 1955 [Jan. 29, 1954], No. 2683/55. Class 6(1). A share 5 for a cultivator is provided with a deflector 15 which is adjustably mounted so that it can be placed horizontally to prevent earth falling on the plants or can be raised to allow earth to bank up the roots of plants. As shown, the deflector is mounted on a rearwardly projecting portion of the share. In a modification the deflector may be mounted between the share and a carrier rod 1. The share has a curved section which is convex at the top and the front lower edge is bevelled.
