Abstract

944,819. Fertiliser distributers. W. H. JOHNSTON. June 5, 1962 [June 5, 1961; July 26, 1961], Nos. 20156/61 and 27004/61.Heading A1D. A fertiliser distributer comprises a spinner 6 driven by a hydraulic motor 16. A hopper 1 is mounted on a framework 2 attached by pins 4 to a trailer 5. A movable flap 18 controls the amount of material fed to the spinner which comprises two plates 7, 8 separated by radial vanes 10. The upper plate 8 is provided with an opening through which protrudes a deflecter. The spinner is mounted on a shaft 13 which extends into the hopper and is provided with agitators. The motor 16 is fed with hydraulic fluid from the trailer hydraulic system through flexible hoses 17.
