Abstract

1502805 Slurry transporter C E WALLEY 5 April 1976 [5 April 1975] 14037/75 Heading B8E A slurry transporter 10 has a tank 13 with a partition 12 forming a well 14 which has a sill 17 and houses a screw conveyer 18 leading to an impeller pump 21 having an outlet duct 24. For loading a tractor scraper forces slurry up a pivoted ramp 40 over the sill 17 into the well 14 from which it is fed to the top of the tank by the screw 18 and impeller 21 with a diverting valve 25 directing the slurry past a non-return flap valve 34. For discharging a door 30 with sealing flaps 33 is opened by an actuating shaft 32 through arms 31 allowing the slurry to flow into the well 14 from which the screw 18 and impeller 21 force it through the duct 24 where the diverting valve 25 is set to direct it to a spreader plate 28.
