944,586. Cameras. AGFA A. G. April 1, 1960 [April 18, 1959], No. 11647/60. Heading G2A. The detachable back of a camera is provided with an additional lens for the purpose of recording data relevant to an exposure. As shown a mirror 38 pivotable on pin 36 attached to a rotatable clamping ring 33 allows photography with the additional lens sytem 22 in any desired direction, the axis 37 of the system being displaced from the front objective axis, and an aperture 27 in the film presser plate 15 allowing the passage of light from lens system 22. An arm 30 carried by the additional lens system projects through the film stage 6 and pivots a spring loaded plate 28 from an inoperative position to mask off from the front objective that portion of the negative required for exposure from the back. The additional lens may have an adjustable diaphragm and either an independent shutter mechanism operated simultaneously with the main shutter by coupling to a common release button the shutter speed setting means also being coupled, or the shutter blades of the additional lens may be connected to the main shutter mechanism and driven thereby. In either case, the coupling is effected by merely attaching the additional lens to the camera back.
