Feb. 26, 1960 [March 26, 1959], No. 6837/60. Class 98 (1). A device for holding a pair of supplementary optical components on twin-lens mirror reflex focusing view-finder cameras having an exposure chamber and a mirror reflex focusing viewfinder chamber arranged above the latter the objectives thereof being provided with bayonet flanges of the type used for the securing thereon of separate supplementary components, comprises a frame with a recess to receive a lug on the view-finder bayonet flange and carrying a latch engageable over the bayonet flange of the exposure objective. As shown, the frame 1 has a recess 7 for receiving lug 6 on the view finder objective bayonet ring 5, and a rotatable spring urged latch 8, having a manipulating lug 11, engageable behind the flange of the flange of the bayonet ring 4 of the exposure objective 2. In the preferred embodiment, a supplementary frame 15 carrying two optical components 16, 17 is hingedly connected to the main frame 1 and spacing pins 20 are provided on the frame 1 for accurately positioning the frame 15 thereon. The hinge pin between frames 1 and 15 may be rigid with frame 1, and have a central square portion co-operating with a flat detent spring on frame 15, thereby limiting this frame 15 either to the position shown in Fig. 1, or to an operative position overlying frame 1.
