Class 98(1) A shutter housing for a photographic pivoted blade shutter has at least one peripheral recess extending from the front to the back of said housing in the space between too adjacent blades when in the open position. In a twin lens reflex camera as shown, a shutter housing 5 has a recess 7 positioned between two adjacent blades 6 in their open position, which recess accommodates a viewfinder lens 3 or part of the beam thereof. In other cameras, a recess or recesses may be provided in similar positions for accommodating coupling elements, for example spindles, from the lens focusing and/or exposure value adjusting members to the camera body.
