846,917. Auxiliary optical systems for photographic cameras. HEIDECKE, R., and FRANKE, H., [trading as FRANKE & HEIDECKE FABRIK PHOTOGR. PRAZISIONS APPARATE]. Jan. 9, 1957 [May 12, 1956], No. 838/57. Classes 97(1) and 98(1) In a reflex focus and view finder attachment a real image is viewed in an eyepiece by means of an inclined mirror and relayed to the camera objective by means of a fixed objective of large aperture when the mirror is raised. The camera objective 12 is focused at infinity and, as shown, a telescopic objective 8 is designed for a smaller image field, defined by a stop 11, than that provided by the film 13 in the camera 6. The image is viewed at the field stop 9 having a transparent or ground glass screen by adjustable eyepiece 10. The operation of release button 15 tilts mirror 2 about pivot 3 and operates the shutter release 22 of the camera. A pancratic objective optical system 28 is fitted at 29 to a microscope tube from which the eyepiece has been removed. Lens 31 corrects field curvature and necessitates the interposition of a plane parallel glass plate of equivalent optical thickness on the objective side of field stop 9. This glass plate may be interchangeable with the ground glass screen. Button 15 also operates a flash contact (Fig. 2, not shown).
