765,782. Photographic cameras; rangefinders. HEIDECKE,and FRANKE., H.. R., [trading as FRANKE HEIDECKE, FABRIK PHOTOGR. PRAZISIONS-APPARATE]. May 14, 1953 [May 21, 1952], No. 13522/53. Classes 97(1) and 98(1) As shown (Fig. 1), a twinlens reflex camera having a supplementary direct-vision view finder formed by an aperture 7 and the front frame 8 of the light hood 6, is fitted with a supplementary range finder comprising a piano-parallel glass beam splitter 16 mounted on a detachable frame 9 in front of said view finder, and a movable deflecting element (mirror or prism) in the housing 17. The deflecting element may comprise a deflecting prism 18 (Fig. 3) and a pivoted wedge 19 mounted on an arm 20 which is rotatable about a rod 21 which is secured to an arm 22. The free end of the arm 22 carries an extension 23 provided with a roller 25 which presses against the objective support 3 so as to.move with the support 3 when focusing. The extension 23 is adjustable in the arm 22 to allow for varying focal length objective lenses.
