887,570. Supplementary lens attachment for twin lens photographic cameras. HEIDECKE, R., and FRANKE, H., [trading as FRANKE & HEIDECKE, FABRIK PHOTOGR PRAZISIONS-APPARATE.]. May 8, 1958 [July 13, 1957], No. 14756/58. Class 98(1). A supplementary lens system for attachment to a twin lens camera comprises a front lens 6 having an aperture of greater diameter than a rear aperture adapted to be located immediately in front of the taking objective 2, a pair of mirrors of which one is a partially transparent beam-splitting mirror 9 in the direct path to the taking objective 2 and the other mirror 10 is arranged to reflect the light beam reflected by the beam-splitting mirror in a direction parallel to the axis of the taking objective into the focusing and finder objective 3, and a negative lens e.g. at 11 in the path of the reflected light beam to compensate for the greater length of the reflected light path. Further similar lenses 7, 8 may be equally disposed about the semi-reflecting mirror 9. The attachment may be secured to the camera as by a bayonet joint including a rotatable ring engaging one of the objective mounts as at 13.
