A camera has a built-in photo-electric exposure meter whose photo-sensitive surface 5 extends parallel to but outside the path of light rays entering the camera viewfinder, a partially reflecting mirror surface 2 being placed in the light path to direct light on to surface 5. The mirror surface 2 may lie at the contacting surfaces of a pair of prisms 1a, 1b comprising an eyepiece 1, the outer surface 3 of prism 1b being curved to form a lens, and the rear surface 4 of prism 4 being plane. A pentagonal prism may be mounted in front of the eye-piece to connect it to a telescopic view-finder.
