Abstract
A cast alloy consists of B 0.01-0.5%, O not more than 0.005% and Mo and/or W the balance. The alloy may also contain one or more of the following: -Ti 0-14%, Zr 0-2%, Ta 0-9%, V 0-7%, Nb 0-10%, Cr 0-2%, Fe 0-1.3%, Co 0-0.9%, Ni 0-0.4%, Hf 0-12%. When Ti is present, the amount of B may be up to one-tenth of the amount of Ti.
