Abstract

940,318. Vehicle roofs. HAPPICH G.m.b.H. FA GEB. May 30, 1962 [July 26, 1961], No. 20826/62. Heading B7B. A hatch frame 12 is secured in an opening in a vehicle roof and is closed by a cover 4 supported at each end by brackets 18 on a tube 5 rotatably mounted on a pair of coaxial tubes 15 carried by the links 14 which are pivoted on the pillars 13. Springs 16 acting between a central disc 17 and a plug carried by each tube 15 serve to hold the cover in its extreme positions. The cover 4 may thus be raised vertically upward or pivotally about either of the axes A, B, C or D.
