[Also in Group XXIX] A compressed-air brake valve D comprising an inlet valve member 36, a control-rod 8, and a spring-loaded piston 9 subject to the pressure in the outlet 10 is combined with an air cleaner R which allows the escape of condensate by way of a valve 3 controlled through a rod 4 actuated by a spring-loaded piston 5 in a chamber 7 which is subject to the pressure between an inlet 2 from a compressor and a check valve 32 through which air is discharged to a receiver and to the valve D. The valve 3 opens when the compressor pressure exceeds a certain value. The valve D and the air cleaner R are combined with their axes at right-angles to each other so that the cleaner can be arranged vertically whilst the valve is disposed with its axis horizontal. Two valves D may be arranged side-by-side, actuated by a common rod 8 and connected to a common air cleaner.
