A bleed valve for bleeding air from an hydraulic system comprises valve bodies 7, 8 screwthreadedly connected together and housing spring-loaded loose ball valves 1, 2 arranged in tandem with a tapper connection 14 therebetween. A push member 12 unseats the valves against their springs and system pressure to bleed air through an outlet 22.
