Abstract

938,992. Venetian blinds. HUNTER DOUGLAS INTERNATIONAL (QUEBEC) Ltd. July 7, 1961 [July 12, 1960], No. 24730/61. Class 20 (3). [Also in Group XXV] The tilt rod 22 of a Venetian blind is biased by spring 61 to an end position and is rotatable to its -other end position by the cord 17 wrapped around the operating pulley 21, the cord having thereon, at appropriate places bead stops 59, 60 to engage in the forked member 56 on the head rail 12. In an alternative embodiment the end of the cord 17 after being wrapped over the pulley 21 is secured to one end of a tension spring secured at its other end to the head rail and the pulley 21 drives the tilt rod through a worm gear operating device.
