843,580. Radiator blinds. TORGNER, J. G. Aug. 5, 1958 [Oct. 30, 1957], No. 25044/58. Class 64(3) Means for raising and lowering a radiator blind 1 which is wound upon a roller 3 and is fixed at its lower end, e.g. by a bar 2, comprises a cord or chain 5 which is wound on to a reduced diameter 4 of the roller and in the opposite direction to the winding of the blind 1 (see Fig. 2), so that upon exerting a pull on the cord or chain 5 the roller is positively set. in rolling motion along the face of the radiator 10 in the direction of the pull while unrolling the blind, whereby the unrolling of the blind may be effected without the use of springs and no metallic or other means are required for mounting the roller. The reduced diameter 4 may be positioned at the ends of the roller or (as shown) at the centre.
