Abstract

575,088. Window blinds. LISLE, U. L. O. July 15, 1944, Nos. 13551 and 18146. [Class 20 (iii)] A blind comprises two adjacent elements A, B each composed of horizontal sections 4 carried by tapes &c. 10 with spaces S between the sections, the two elements being secured tc opposite points C, D, o: a spring or other roller 1. As shown in Fig. 3 the elements are unrolled with the sections of one element masking the spaces in the other element initially but by rotating the roller somewhat further, the sections of one element begin to unmask the gaps in the other ele. ment until a full through gap is formec as in Fig. 2. The strengthening bars at the bottom of the lowest sections are connected by links 14 pass ing outside guide rods 17 whereby sideways movement of the blind is prevented.
